Ski A Course Like A Champion

Imagine being able to ski a course like your favorite Olympic Skiers. Well, at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, SkyTechSport made this a virtual reality for some very lucky fans.

From February 2nd-15th, SkyTechSport was honored to be a part of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Beaver Creek Colorado, where we brought the activation and recreated the 3D legendary courses Birds of Prey and Raptor. Due to our incredible technology, thousands of fans had the opportunity to virtually race and #challengethechampions with some of their favorite Olympic competitors using the same exact courses the champions have skied.

The mountains were GPS scanned to ensure a perfect lifelike course and truly capture the details that made these two courses come to life.

Due to this amazing opportunity we were featured on many different platforms, which yeild great press for our sponsors – Beaver Creek, Powershares and EverBank. Denver KUSA-TV 9 News, KCNC-TV and the NBC Television Network all aired special interviews to highlight the Ski Simulator in Beaver Creek. Read a great article in Sports Illustrated!

We are also really proud of Travis Ganong, who represents the U.S. Ski Team, for coming in second downhill as we have been training with him on our Ski Simulator for almost two years. Way to go Travis!

Lastly, SkyTech Sport would like to give a huge thanks to our amazing sponsors Beaver Creek, Powershares and EverBank. They gave away blankets, coffee mugs and CamelBaks and with their tremendous contributions this event was able to go off without a hitch. #Challengethechampions was a success!
